Windows 7 USA Only
Hi
I just bought Windows 7 Ultimate in the USA and when I got to the airport to catch my plane back to Australia I noticed that it said USA Only on a little white sticker.
Does that mean I cannot use it it Australia?
thanks for any advice
regards
Daniel

I don't see how it could make a difference.

Hello daniellouwrens, welcome to Seven Forums!
We have seen several different members (from different countries) with regional specific Windows 7 versions have an extremely difficult time getting their version to activate in another country.

I would think you should be OK though you might need to phone activate it, but then I found this thread on this simular topic.Windows 7 - activation region concern
Even though it's not identical to yours but.....

Hello again Daniel, good to see it worked for you and thanks for the update.

US only might have meant English only! The only regional restriction I know of is in the Home basic edition.

That is very good to know. I would have thought, like BFK, that you might get activation problems. Some guys had reported such problems. I myself took one from the US to Germany. But that was not marked "US only" and it worked.
