    Follow these steps exactly to boot the XP CD: Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

    If this doesn't work, then tap the Dell F12 key at bootup to get a one-time BIOS Boot Menu, select CD drive to boot.

    If this fails, try another bootable disk to see if the problem might be your XP CD.

    time to try it thanks agian. If you see in the tutorial, i didnt know that the boot sequence what i was looking for to change.

    Yep now i can dual boot into xp and 7.

    when it displays f2 or f12 see corresponding to which key is bios setting written also try f8 for entering the bios
