Can't get past welcome screen

    Thanks BFX, I have the win 7 dvd but if I cant get pass the welcome screen can I still be able to do that?

    My bad, I keep forgetting that you have to be "in Windows" to run the repair install.



    If you have an installer disk, you can boot to Method Two in the system restore tutorial.

    You said you have a Windows 7 DVD, that's what I meant to use.

    BFK, how do I get into the bios to see if it is set to dvd/cd drive first?

    Either set the DVD drive as first device to boot in BIOS setup, or use the one-time Boot Menu key given on first screen to boot the DVD.

    Select Repair My Computer on second screen.

    See if it finds an installation to repair, accept any offered repair.

    If it doesn't start, boot back in the same way to choose Advanced Recovery Options, select Startup Repair.

    Let us know how this goes.

    I'm trying to access my bios but no luck as yet just blank screen

    when you first start seeing text on your screen (from boot) press the (delete button ) on your key board maybe 2
    or 3 times. that should open the bios.
