No dual boot manger screen after win 7 install

I've installed 64bit win 7 on a 2nd partion of my main drive running vista 64bit. The installation all went smoothly and loaded into win 7.

But when restarted I did't get a windows boot manager screen so i could pick if I wish to load Vista or Windows 7, instead my system just loads straight into Vista.

Do I have to enable my system to be able to see the Windows 7 install?

    Help would be greatful

Boot into Vista, then use EasyBCD Add/Remove entries tab to add the new 7 partition to the boot loader. Then under change settings tab, you can choose the default OS and boot choice screen timeout duration. Don't forget to hit the save button after. That program is pretty self explanatory but if you need anything, let us know.

You can verify what is going on by going to the command prompt and typing bcdedit then hit {enter}.

For some reason when using EasyBCD, I added the windows 7 partion but I still don't get the dual boot option screen up. System still loads into Vista.

Can you give me any more help?

Hello Benn, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if running a startup repair with your Windows 7 installation disc for Windows 7 may help.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
