BSOD 116 on install

im currently using vista 32bit and decided to do a fresh install on a brand new HDD of the 7RC, it installed fine but after rebooting to finish setup and start windows i get BSOD with a 116 error, ive done some googling and have found out that its video card related but i dont really know what to do next, any ideas?

my specs are
AMD athlon 64 X2 5200+
4GB super talent DDR2
ATI HD4850
WD 320GB (fresh and clean for 7)
WD 750GB (Vista)
650W Psu (cant remember brand)
Dont know about mobo but could probably find out if needed.

I did an install of the RC on an ATI HD 4870 (512 mB VRAM) without any issues.
Ensure that your video card is properly seated and that all the power connectors are properly connected - both to the motherboard (that little 4 pin connector) and to the video card (if so equipped).

If it still fails, try another download of the RC. Then burn it at a very slow speed to a DVD - and ensure that the burner is set to verify the burn (this'll take a loooong time). Then try that.

the card is definately seated and connected properly as i have been using it and putting it under load for around a month or so now, and its been just fine.

i'll try re-downloading and burning again, but ive seen other forum posts saying that the BSOD message is driver related, and my problem is that i cant update a driver on an OS that i cant even get to the login screen on. quite the pickle.
