Are you able to start Win7 now? This is not clear from your post.

If not, copy out your data using this method: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

You will only have one active partition at a time. Use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to look at your partitioning.

Do you have the 100mb System reserved boot partition which Win7 sometimes issues at install? If so, use PW CD to mark it Active, boot the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots. If not, make sure Win7 is marked Active, then boot the DVD/Repair CD to run Startup Repair 3 times.

Read this post a while ago, and beat my head against the proverbial wall came up with nothing. But, have you attempted (didn't see it mentioned) using your installation disc to see if you could repair the "Boot Manager?" If not attempt that to see if you can correct the situation. Please let us know. Good Luck

Merging two active partitions
Hi everyone, My main windows (system) partition is out of space. I have another partition on the same disk that I would like to merge with. However, Windows Disk Management does not let me do that. Or maybe I do not know how to do it? Or maybe it can be done via 'diskpart'? Anyways, my...

2 Active Primary Partitions?
Hi, I'm looking into setting up a dual boot and I discovered that I have 2 Primary partitions on my hard drive in addition to the backup partition. One of the Primaries is my C: (main) drive and the other is un-named. My question is, can I repurpose the un-named primary partion? I have included a...

2 Active Partitions should I set my "Reserved Partition" to Inactive even though it contains the Acronis Secure Zone or can I just leave it alone. By the way I don't know why it is set to active other than the fact that maybe it's because of the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager that allows me to...
