W7 Pro Install Question
Just wondering. I have XP Pro 32bit as of now with W7 Pro Upgrade on order. Will W7 recognize my cpu as 64bit compliant, and give me the option to install 64bit OS instead of 32bit?
Thanks,
D.

Shortly: Yes.
Normally, all Windows 7 retail boxes include both x86 and x64 versions. You can not, of course, in-place upgrade an x86 system to x64 or vice versa, or XP to Seven, so in your case you have to do a clean install in any case, to whichever bit version you decide to use.
