need of help instaling w7 64bit.pls help

    hey guys.

i am wanting to install w7 64bit but wen i boot from the cd/dvd it does the whole starting windows thing and then gets to the blue screen with the little bird thing and just stays there. the same thing happens with the 32bit w7.
I have now managed to install the 32bit one but i am still wanting to run 64bit.

If i run the CD from my computer it tells me this:
"This installation disc isnt compatible with your version of windows. To upgrade, you need the correct instalation disc. For more information check your computer's system information. to install a new copy of windows, restart (boot) ur computer using the installation disc, and then select custom (advanced)."

I really dnt kno wat to do now pls can someone help.

    O and my specs are:
AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4800+
    2 gig ram
    Gforce 8500 GT

So im sure i should be able to run 64bit??

Unplug every non-essential device from your machine. Also, doing an upgrade is ill-advised, do a clean/fresh install if possible.

Most importantly, unlpug everything that you can from your system and get it up and running before re-connecting devices - one at a time.

Well my suggestion is the first place I would start. It would be helpful if you fill in your system specs, found in your profile.
