Install error OXE0000100
I installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 onto a new hard drive. The install was fully functional. I realized after the fact that I should have first formatted the drive before OS install, so I went ahead and formatted. Now when trying to install the OS I get error OXE0000100 at the begining of the Install process which seems to be something to do with the partition. When I go into the Win 7-recovery console it doesn't even show that there is a C drive partition. But I have also loaded my Win XP pro Disk and gone into recovery and it does show c: Partition1 NTFS. I'm going through another reformat now (slow) but I have my doubts this will fix it. Any thoughts?
Worst case, would it be OK to format with Win XP, load that system (assuming I don't get the same error) and then load Win 7 on top of XP?
Thanks in advance
