error code 80070570 and removing ram

Got this error code, reburned isos, tried from USB, etc. Finally removed one out of 2 ram sticks, and install went smoothly.

Does anyone know WHY that works? Is installation unable to handle more than 2gigs (ie like 32bit addressing)?

That error code is related to windows updates and why the ram removal helps I dont know. https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527

I would run memtest just to test the ram in case it is the problem.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
