'recovery' folder with winre.wim file?
what is needed for the recovery folder in the hd root with a winre.wim file inside?
can i delete it

actually i just need to know if this is a system file and if its needed, if not i will delete
this winre.wim file is inside a folder 'recovery' in c: root and is 160mb
It appears to be a normal part of Windwos 7. You need to show hidden and system files to see it as it's marked System and Hidden.
i though it wasnt from windows

winre.wim = Windows Recovery Environment.

Don't delete that.
You need it to boot to recovery options from the Advanced Boot menu. You also need it to make the recovery disc.
You are not supposed to be able to see it - that is why it is a hidden , system folder.
