well to be honest if he is not giving up the password

You might want to consider just wipping it clean and start fresh Sucks that you had a jerkish man in you're life to be so immature to do that

Anyway i would start using some of the pass-codes he used before pet names familly what ever but ultimatly i would just clean it start fresh imply your own code and make sure he never get's it again

How are you so sure that it is a HE that did this to this person. I know
lots of females that could do it also.

Hello sostar, welcome to Seven Forums!

We can help get you back in, if you have or can create a Windows boot disk you can try to do a system restore to a restore point before he took the lappy; start by having a look at these first 2 tutorials at the links below.

Password Reset : Using System Restore in Windows 7

How to Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc

If that's not possible then have a look at this one, it is not as complicated as it looks and you can do it step by step if you take your time and work on it, this one will get you back into the lappy and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Aren't there password reset USB drives that disable, et. the password at the welcome screen, or did I dream this up after watching a movie?
