I think Windows does better after a clean all (wipe) because all the old Windows code and all the old drivers have been over-wrtitten, a format does not remove any data at all.
Note   Note

Contrary to popular belief, doing a format with Windows 7 does not remove any data at all, it just checks for sector errors and marks the space to be over-written as needed, all the data is still there including all the code from previous/failed installation attempts.

Yea I was guessing the quick format seems to remove nothing and let that data influence your reinstall

I am trying to create a bullet list using A B C D however... I want to put each letter in a circle for multiple-choice questions yet MSWord's bullet list doesn't offer this letter-in-a-circle style. Anybody know how I can get a bullet list with this style? thanks reasoner

I'm upgrading my Desktop from Win7 32 to 64 bit. I have 55 gb of music to backup. I have an ipod that can accomodate that music in a library, but not hold the 55gb as files on an external HD. SHOULD I... just format and use 3rd party software (CopyTrans, etc) to take my music from the ipod...
