Installing customized windows 7 (with application) from an USB device

    Hello everyone

I wish if i could install automated windows 7 x86 directly from my USB pen drive/HDD without and CD/DVD with all applications. I have 2 laptops and one desktop machine i my home. I'm going away from home so i need to have a USB HDD so that even a layman like my parents or my lil brother can do the installation whenever required. Only c drive should be formatted not entire machine.

Any help would be really helpful.

    Thanks in advance...

The solution is to place a Windows 7 backup image from each computer in it's own separate folder on the external. When the time comes that the HD needs to be reimaged, take the WindowsBackupImage file out of the folder and place it in the root of the external to be detected by the booted Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD.

Here's how to create/save the image: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Here's how to recover the image: System Image Recovery

I keep an image for each machine that is made right after install/setup when it is running best. This makes reinstalls unnecessary. We are in the imaging age now with built-in Win7 backup imaging! Why spend 2+ hours for the same result that takes an image 15 minutes?
