Hmm.. thats odd then, have you tried the method in this thread yet; Install Windows 7 FAST without a DVD or USB device
I'm sure it would work the same with Vista, as it would with Seven.
I'm going to look into this problem a bit more, but could you please fill out your 'system specs'? It would help to solve the issue, knowing your system specs that is.
