    Noob install problems

Ok, decided to give this Win 7 a try. I'd like to install it on my second HD, and keep XP. At the moment, I have two issues. First, during the normal boot up process, I get this annoying "Input not supported" box that floats around. Once XP loads, everything works fine and is back to normal. So, during the attempted installation of Win 7, I get this box, the screen flickers occasionally, untill I get past the "Setup is starting...." screen. Then, I see something flash up on the screen (next step in installation I am guessing), and I get a blank screen. Nothing will come up. How do I fix this?

Second issue is that installation is extremely slow. Is this normal? When I first boot from the DVD, it sits on the blue screen for several minutes before it brings me to the language / time settings / keyboard screen. Once I hit next, it again sits for several minutes on the "Setup is starting ..." screen. Whats going on here?

Check your system bios for a legacy floppy drive and disable it. I had the same problem and that remedied it.

Thanks Gene. I did some reading else where and saw that fix. Worked great. Now, any ideas about the LCD monitor and the "Input not supported" issue?
