    Boot Problem


    I know this may seem like a bit of an odd question, but ever since I've installed Ubuntu its been the default OS to boot on my Laptop, it was no problem a while ago, but ever since Christmas I've been unable to use my down button so now the only option I have for booting is to use Ubuntu, I know via Windows you're easily able to change your default OS through system properties in advanced, but what I essentially need is the command line through grub to boot Windows 7 one time so I can edit it after to make it the default.

    Surmising, my down key won't work so I need a command to boot windows through grub.

    So, if any of the members on here could tell me the boot line for command to get into Windows I'd be extremely grateful.

    This first tutorial at the link below will get you to a Windows command window at boot and then have a look at the second one, I hope these will help and be sure to post back with the outcome.



    Though the initial command would be bcdedit instead of diskpart.

    GRUB can corrupt Win7 when on the same HD. We see it all the time here.

    Best to install to separate HD's then boot either via the BIOS.
