restoring windows install to a New drive

I have windows 7 on a pc with only a 70gb drive. I want to upgrade the drive to a TB drive. I have only two slots for sata drives. I am considering buying two 1 tb drives.
Is there some way I can make an image or a back up of my current windows set up and then load it to the new drive?
    Thanks

Yes, have a look at this tutorial at the link below though you will need somewhere to store the image.

If you use Macrium be sure to include the 100MB system reserved partition and any factory recovery partition if you have them in your image set (tick the boxes). When you restore you do it one partition at a time. The reimaging will go back and ask you for another partition to restore until you're done.

I restored to a new HDD (straight out of the bag) using the inbuilt windows imaging and Macrium for the factory recovery partition.

When you're done only 70GB will show on your TB HDD but the rest is there, just unallocated. Easy to fix.
