Problem when booting

Hi, so I had xp and installed a copy of Win7 utl. Later I found out I was fooled and the key was no good. I found a way to get back to XP. Now I bought win7 Home Premium form office max and yes it's real. But now when I boot I am having problems and it is almost trying to boot into the win7 ult. Is there a way I can get rid of the win7 ult? When I boot it has a boot error then it lets me pick win7 Home Premium and boots up like normal. I don't want to do this every time I start my pc is there a fix for this? Thanks

ipodvi welcome to SF,
It's been awhile since I had this issue but if you scroll down to Ult. and right click you should be able to delete this drop down!

ipodvi,
I gave this a try and no that advice won't work. I'll keep trying things and post what works. I've done this before but it was in XP. Cheers and maybe someone else will get you an answer faster.

Hello ipodvi, welcome to Seven Forums!

Before we make any specific recommendations will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have going on as there may be a fairly simple way to resolve the situation.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a snip of that.

Mark all non-OS partition's Inactive using free Partition Wizard.

Wipe the target HD before install: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Non OS HDD/partition(s) can also be marked Inactive using diskpart from an elevated command windows using this snip as an outline, obviously you would enter your disk/partition information.
