    Massive mbr issue


    Ok so basically everything went pear chaped when i installed ubuntu

    long story short the only thing that will install on my pc is ubuntu

    i have a feeling the mbr is buggered and i need to compleyley obliterate everything on my hard drive so i can just install windows

    is there any way i can fix this.

    when i try to install windows even after reformatting my pc it just gives me an error message. if you need spacifics please reply.

    thanks in advance for any help.

    also i know this issue isnt really windows based but i have no clue about linux and little about windows really.

    Hello Cory.



    The best way to get rid of the Linux code is to do a wipe of the HDD, have a look at this info below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.
       Information

    After you have made backups of everything you care to save and you want to do a real wipe "clean all" to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) have a look at this tutorial at the link below, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including all the old Windows drivers, giving you the best possible space to install Windows 7 to; it goes hand-in-hand with a clean install.

    error:
    0x80070017 is the error that i am getting

    i have been told its the disk so i am gunna try re making the disk with a slower burn

    will keep posted on whether this works or not

    Use the free ISO burner at the link below to burn another at a speed of now more than 4x and select to let the program to verify the disk before it finishes.
