i managed to install it via repartitioning the disk. however, it freezes at the most unpredictable usually worst moments, moreover, the internet driver atheros is
not working on a brandnew windows 7. how i hate microsoft. the only reason
i bought windows 7 was because the vistas drivers were going bananas.

Did you wipe the HD using tutorial posted above? SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

    Next reset the CMOS: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthe.../clearcmos.htm

While in BIOS setup, set SATA controller to AHCI to try install.

Remove all but 2gb of RAM to try install.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals. Use PS2 keyboard and mouse.

Installing Windows 7 will not sort out the hardware problems, you already have.

Therefore list the hardware problems you have.
