    Windows 7 HDD installation problems.

Hello, Im in a bit of a pickle. I hope somebody can help me!

First off, I built new system. All good stuff. I tried to install Windows 7 on a new HDD (western Digital 500gb HDD). At first my problem was that my Win7 installation disk would not find the hard drive even though it was showing up fine in my BIOS. I tried everything i could to try and get this to show up but to no avail.

Then i tried to make my hard drive 'ACTIVE' by following this link i found on another thread.

    https://www.sevenforums.com/installat...-problems.html

Once I did that and rebooted i just got a messege saying 'Invalid partition table.'

Im really stuck now and I need help to get this drive working again and recognisable to my Win7 installation.

    Please help!

Make sure you have the latest BIOS update. If so, reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install.

Wipe the HD: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Remove all other HD's and peripherals to try install.

If this fails, try removing all but 2gb of RAM to try install.
