Dual Installing from Zero. Urgent help pls.

    Hi,

I want to fully format my hard disk and make new partitions out of it, then, install windows 7 on one partition and windows XP on the other. Since i will have zero access to internet whilst doing so, can you link me to a page which can fully explain to me what i have to do?

I already have Win 7 on C, but i cant format, shrink or extend C or D.

    Thanks,

    Ill be online.

In that case. Install windows xp, then go from the guide :)

In step 1 were it says create the partion from inside XP, just make the partion while installing XP. Remember always oldest to newest :)

Ok, but my C is 20 Gig and i want to extend it to 60, and my D is 33 Gig and i want to shrink it to 10. Then install XP on the new 10Gigabyte D.

Problem is, from within Windows Seven, I cant shrink D.

    yup,

And then divide it to: 60 GIG C (windows 7 and softwares)
    10 GIG D (Windows XP)
25 GIG E (My personal Partition)
    25 GIG F (Dad's personal Partition)
25 GIG G (Other eg. downloads etc.)

If you are doing a full format ten there is no need to partion from within windows 7. Just set up your partions from within the XP setup.

    Insert XP CD
    boot to cd
let it load to the install options,
tell it to delete all partions,
    Tell it new partion,
    Specify size.
    Install to that partion.
Boot to xp let it finish installing.
After it finishes inster Win 7 DVD.
    Reboot.
    Boot to Dvd.
    Install to the other partion.
