Triple booting XP/7/Ubuntu - your advice please!

Hi everybody, this is my very first post!

My Dell XPS Studio 1640 laptop currently has installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I have a project this weekend to set up my PC with triple boot (XP/7/Linux)

Partly to ensure I can go back to my original setup, I purchased a full Macrium Reflect licence to make a back up of my Win7 installation. I bought the full version so that I could have the Windows PE restore facility as well as the standard Linux based one.

I will be using the following guide as a starting point: Installing and Triple-booting Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu

However, if at all possible, I would like to use Macrium Reflect to restore my original Windows 7 system to the second partition rather than having to install Win7 from scratch and then re-installing all my (many) applications!

Please let me know if this is possible and tell me of any things I need to take special care about.

    Many thanks in advance!

I am taking this as PC=desktop not notebook.
My advice would be to use three HD one for each OS.

Thanks theog. As stated in my post this is a laptop, so separate HDDs is not really an option.

Anyway, my real question is can I use Macrium Reflect to restore my original W7 installation into the new partition?
