I thought they dropped them quite awhile back, and now don't even ship Recovery CD's.

Yes.

Vista installation media doesn't have to be unlocked as Windows 7 does, all versions are available during installation as long as an activation key isn't added first, just click next.

OEM, Retail,or manufacturer's OEM (Dell,Fujitsu,Samsung,etc)
This would only matter in XP. Since Vista the retail installer is the same as OEM. You only need to unlock all versions if necessary.

The key determines if OEM or retail, and version.
You can not use a manufacturer's OEM (Dell,Fujitsu,Samsung, etc) to make a Windows 7 universal ISO.
Actually you can. OEM restore disks are just regular ones with oem stuff thrown in plus they activate offline. If the ei.cfg file is deleted, a choice of editions will be presented to you. But you still need a key for the edition you install, unless its the original edition the disk came for.

Interesting. What other customization does Fujitsu put into it besides version-lock, logo and SLP activation files? Size on disk?

Is this for a business computer or do they still supply these for consumer rigs? How recently?

How do I create a bootable iso from the flash drive I now have (that works and is bootable) that I can use to create a VD with? I tried it using ImgBurn and the result was not bootable. If I told it to make it bootable it asked me for an image file, but I don't know what or where that is.

UltraISO trial is what I use to write Disk Image to flash stick, and it will also extract the ISO from DVD.

But to extract the ISO from flash stick with Ultra you have to build a New ISO and the trial version has a size limit on doing that.

I'm pretty sure is an easier way than this but I will have to search a bit for it: Bootable ISO - Create from Installation Files

Sorry, I'm confused.

Installed the trial. No Open ISO on the File tab, just Open.
When I select Write Disk Image from Bootable tab, it wants to create a .img file instead of a .iso file.

I want to create an iso file from my flash drive which has all 8 installable versions of Win 7 on it. If I create a .img file, can that ten be used to create a bootable DVD?
