To slipstream my upcoming Repair Install (or not to slipstream . . .)

    Thanks for the link. I already knew how to do it, but I wanted to confirm that the guy I was talking to at TechNet didn't know what he was talking about. He said it couldn't be done. <rolleyes>

    You can "slipstream" with the WAIK tool as well. In fact, I prefer that method. No third party software involved.

    I don't believe anyone suggested removing any drivers, only the bloated software package which sometimes accompanies them - unless you are using special settings which require that software.

    The drivers are all available separately.

    If you want to test your System without the software, just turn it off in msconfig>startup and Services (after hiding all MS) and restart to see if you lose any functionality. Doubtful.

    Others may have another opinion, but this has solved enough performance problems that I never install the video bloatware, just the drivers.
