i thought of something.
i run the setup from my xp system.(i have dual boot)
then install it on the corrupted windows 7 partition. will this work please give suggestions

If you can start Win7, then run the installer from the desktop to do a Repair Install as you intended.

If you can't run Win7, then you can run the installer from your XP partition to clean reinstall over the Win7 partition. Dual Boot Installation with Windows 7 and XP
