    Partition Wizard Anomaly

PW52 disagrees with all the other apps. about the status of this drive.

It shows a large part of the drive as unallocated:

Even PW42 shows the volumes correctly:

Concerning. Is this the boot CD or home version?

The only change I've noticed is the new version will allow Resizing without regard to whether it is into Logical Free Space or Primary Unallocated Space, whereas you had to force convert it before if it was not the same format as resized partition.

That is the installed Home version of PW52.

However, I have it on winpe media as well.

Booting that up gave the same strange result.

There may be a bug in it somewhere.

I often use PW 5.2 so this error was of concern
    I couldn't duplicate the error.
Used PW bootable to create extended partition & PW home for display only.

It's very rare - and hard to pin down the cause.

There is a bug in this version 5.2 - not seen in earlier versions.

    Have you communicated with them?

If they know by now that their tool is a workhorse used here in the busiest Win7 forum, maybe they are monitoring what goes on here.

    Is it made by Symantec?

Checking to see if anyone else had similar before reporting it to MT.

I've had another issue with PW but it's nothing similar to this one, it has to do with resizing.

I just noticed I have 7 mb unallocated at end of HD which in v. 5.2 won't Resize into Win7 partition, but v. 4.2 will do it

In new version if I try to Resize it into 7 it jumps to the front of drive, and vice versa, and won't apply Resize either way.

We were helping this guy the other day and the unallocated space 'moved' from here to here at the time I didn't know if it was something he'd done or a PW issue.
