    windows.old directory removal

hello, since I did a clean install of 7260, it moved the old windows directory to windows.old, now I don't need it anymore, is it safe to just delete the windows.old directory?

IF you are sure you dont need them and you dont want to roll back. YES

you may have a little trouble deleting some items but you will gain a lot of space

    Hello Akramh,

You can use Disk Cleanup to safely remove it by selecting the Files discarded by Windows upgrade option.

    Hope this helps,

just did it, saved 15GB of space :) strange that my current windows directory ( build 7260) is only 9GB.. the windows.old directory was from build 7022...
