My uncle went to jail and it would be rude of me to ask my parents to ask him for something. I'm sorry if it doesn't seem honest it's just something I'm not proud of saying.

Not if you have a CD, as that would be a Repair CD used to repair Win7 when it won't start. System Repair Disk - Windows 7 Forums

The Win7 installer is a DVD burned from an ISO download.

What are the exact problems you're having with your install, as we may be able to help you with troubleshooting steps to get it running well enough you can wait to find an installation DVD until later.

In fact, the modern way is to save a Win7 backup image externally to use instead of clean reinstalling: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup - Windows 7 Forums

I feel like I've downloaded a bunch of softwares and uninstalled them but they were not fully removed. I do not recall all the software and programs I had installed which is why I am trying to do this. Because recently I had found files of programs I had uninstalled months ago, through hidden folders I believe which I deleted manually by deleting them into the recycling bin and removing from recycling bin and I would like to free up all the space they have been taking up.

If I can obtain a DVD Installer for Windows 7 from a friend, and I use my serial key, will it work? whatever "it" is that I have to do to reset it.

You can do the full reinstall of the Windows 7....

I would suggest a clean install... you will get better results.

You will have 30 days to get that key or the Operating system will be locked out. Future warning!

Wow, thanks a lot. You have helped me a lot. I was afraid I was going to download a file online that was wrong/malacious and would mess up my laptop to where I can't use it at all. Because someone had tried to help my computer run faster but ended up breaking it so I had to buy this laptop.

Be sure to come here to ask about things your friends want to do to your computer. Win7 is such a great OS it doesn't need any optimizing or tweaking beyond the normal system settings. This will always come back to bite you, so I'd avoid it at all costs.

Concentrate on getting a perfect install by using the tips I gave you: Reinstalling Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums

Ask back if you have any questions.

Save your Product Key and Installation DVD where they will be safe for life.

As per any file can be dangerous.....
Regardless if they are compressed or not.

Coming from a friend or from online... Thank goodness they have advanced in their Anti virus programs to scan for these types of files.

I apologize for the links I gave you. I wasn't aware of those kinds of regulations that this site had for those file extensions; so I had to delete those posts.
