Windows 7: Windows 7 64bit - Driver Corrupted-

18 Apr 2012   #11

Windows xp

I have windows xp running on my PC.My PC restarts automatically when windows is loading.I thought the boot process might have been corrupted, so i tried installing a fresh copy of windows 7.The problem is i get an error stating
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
3. Click "Repair your computer".
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \windows\system32\DRIVERS\ql2300.sys Status: 0xc0000098
Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

I have tried all the above procedures but nothing seems to help.
I removed my HDD and connected to my friend's PC and then the windows booted but when i connect it back to my PC, it wont boot.

I would appreciate any help regarding this matter.

My PC configuration
CPU AMD 64X2 6000+
MOBO Gigabyte
2x 1GB Kingston DDR2
2x 160GB Seagate HDD(The other hard disk only has data,no OS is installed on it)

Reset the BIOS to defaults, set SATA controller to AHCI to try install: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS. Wipe the HD first using Diskpart Clean Command. Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

Download the latest installer ISO for your licensed version and burn to DVD or write to flash stick using the tool given here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then follow these same steps to clean reinstall.

Windows xp

i did what u suggested but the problem still persisted.
But now the problem has been solved, one of my RAM wasn't functioning properly.I removed one of the RAM and tried formatting and it went smoothly,so i guess that was the problem.
Anyways thanks for the help.
