    ERROR 0X8007045D while installing win7

    Hi,

yesterday I had a major crashdown on my Win7, I tried startup repair and custom install, but it was useless

Today I decided to format the disk and make a clean install of Windows.

Boot from DVD and try to install ... when goes to 10 - 20% give me this error: 0x8007045D

Telling me that Window canīt install the required files, "make sure all the files are available and restart install". I tried with a different DVD but the result is the same.

I need to work and I can't install Windows.

    Someone can help me?

    Regards,
      My Computer

    Try this method

    Clean Install Windows 7

unfortunately you will lose your data this way. I didn't see you saying anything that indicated this was a problem for you though.

Please don't double post, it makes helping very complicated as I had already replied to you at your 'other' post.

If there is nothing on the Hard Disk Drive that you need to save, it would be helpful to do a wipe (secure erase) of the entire HDD to get the best possible space to install Windows to.

Hi! Iīm having this same problem, Iīve already formatted my HDD, and tried the installation with two different versions of WIN7 and keep receiveng the same error, any clues?

    thanks!
Hello casiopea, welcome to Seven Forums!

Have you tried a complete wipe of the entire Hard Disk Drive, it is much more comprehensive than a format, it writes zeroes to the whole HDD over-writing all the old data; have a thorough look at the information presented below and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

After you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media, use Step One of this tutorial at the first link below to do a wipe (secure erase) to the entire Hard Disk Drive / Solid State Drive.
    • Then if you do not want to create the new Windows 7 "System Reserved" partition use the outline in Step Two #2 to create, format and mark Active a single 100GB partition to do the installation to.
    • If you do want to create the "System Reserved" partition use the outline in Step Two #3 to create, format and mark Active the System Reserved partition and then create and format the 100GB partition to do the installation to.
Either way, running the "clean all" then creating and formatting the partition(s) using diskpart will get you the best possible space to do a clean install of Windows 7 to; you can always extend the Windows partition to include the remaining unallocated space on the HDD / SSD or create additional Primary partitions or an Extended partition after the installation completes if you choose.

Did you run Startup Repair three separate times with reboots from the DVD Repair console or Repair CD, after confirming that your 100mb System Reserved Partition is marked Active?

Where did you get Win7 installer? Did you burn the DVD yourself? If so, burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed. Boot the installer, choose Custom Install, use Drive Options to delete all partitions, repartition and install. Reinstalling Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums

Hi Bare Foot Kid, sorry for the double post, I was not sure were to post my problem.
this is the thing, I tried to start with your indications, but in this step...

    4) Running the "clean all" command on a SSD / HDD takes a good bit of time, remember it's writing zeroes ( 0's ) to the entire drive, I've done quite a few of these, here's some examples a 500GB HDD took just at 2 hours, my 80GB SSD takes around 20 minutes and the "virtual" 20GB drive in a VM takes about 7 minutes to complete.

When it finishes you'll get "DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk" in the command window.

    I got this message:
"Diskpart has found an error: the system couldnīt find the specified file. Please check the system event registry to obtain more information."

Could you please help me with this?

    thanks very much

    Hello again.

Just to make sure, you have to boot the Windows installation DVD to run the clean all, have a look at this tutorial at the link below to make sure this is the way you are running it.

One question though, where did you get the Windows 7 installation media?

    Hi Bare Foot,
I did it just as the tutorial says, in the language window I pressed Shift+f10 and then worked in the cmd

Can this problem be caused by a failure in the Windows installation disc?

Again, where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? IF so, burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed. Confirm the ISO integrity by checking HASH against official Win7 HASH: Windows 7 RTM SHA-1 hash - checksums
