Booting issues after moving RAID from one mobo to another.
This is a bit unusual, and I've not anyone discussing this before. I changed my older MSI motherboard to a newer one. I had RAID on the old one using an expansion card; but the new mobo has a built-in RAID, so I hooked up the drives (SATA) directly to it. AFter establishing the RAID, it looks like Windows 7 Ultimate is trying to start, but then it quits and on reboot allows me to go to the startup recovery. There I'm able to load the RAID drivers, the system does show up in the window, and the startup repair is performed. However, the startup repair doesn't really help, and on reboot the system quits again. I guess I'm looking for a way to install the new RAID drivers (rather than just loading them) to the system, but I don't see a way to do that from the options. Any way to do this from CLI? Or should I boot with the Windows 7 DVD and try from there (my disc is an upgrade disc, does it matter?)? Thanks.
