Did you burn the Repair CD yet? Here's the download if you need it: System Repair Disc - Create

If so, boot into it to run Startup Repair

If no disk, restart and tap the F8 key to see if you can access the Repair console System Recovery Options, then run Startup Repair from there.

RAM is not exactly cheap for that model considering what you paid for it: around $20 for a 512 stick - you'd need two. HP Pavilion ze4600 Memory at Outlet Prices

So you need to think over whether you want to try to keep Win7 and make it run better with max RAM. You might want to also run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. Edit the Home Premium Product Key from the Belarc Report above and keep it safe so you have it.

If you want to reinstall XP Home SP3 OEM you'll need to find an ISO, burn to CD and boot it to install.

Since that laptop max is 1gb, that is near the low end for running win7 & any extras.

I have run win7 on 384mb & 512mb on some older desktops. They work ok for email & surfing the internet but are slow. I guess it just depends on what your goals are for this laptop & how much $ you would want to spend on more memory.

Uninstalling windows 7?
Well on tuesday I receive my SSD (Intel 330 60GB) And I will need to uninstall windows 7 from my current HDD. How do I do that? Is there a easy way to move over all my files that I want? Or is just manually backing up what I want easier? Sorry for so many topics. I am pretty confused here.
