Hello Khairi,

Since doing a OEM factory restore/recovery is basically the same as restoring a image of the HDD at factory defaults, you will not need to enter the product key or activate again afterwards. It will already be activated.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Is this factory-preinstalled WIn7? There should be a COA sticker with a Product Key for your version of WIn7 which you would use if you ever clean reinstall the OS. It is also your proof that you have a legitimate copy of Win7 from whoever built your computer.

This sticker key is not needed for Factory Recovery which will auto-activate, but your saying you don't have the Key is a concern if your computer did not in fact come with a COA sticker for a preinstalled OS.
