W7/Linux Mint dual boot upgade

    Shall I try and boot from it. As I say, the only place it could be is on the 81GB partition marked as Free Space.

    Delete that other 'new' partition first.

    Ok. How do I make it not active? It's the only partition showing as active on that disk.

    Just delete it in disk management.

    Ok. This is what I got now. There is still the 17GB one at the end.

    Now try the one-time boot menu to see if the Linux HDD will boot on it's own.

    Hmmn. same as last night. The F12 one time boot menu comes up but I cannot move the selection with my arrows keys. It shows Floppy at the top highlighted then Hard Drive then LST120 then Hard Drive and several other option but I cannot make a selection. This is very worrying.
