Just being nosey, as the Asus P5KPL-AM is a desktop why not fit a CD/DVD drive?

i lost all my previous restore points in Win 7

In Windows 7, all the good icons are in %SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll, but we're still taken to the old SHELL32.dll when it comes time to change an icon. Is there a registry key or something that we can change to remedy this?
