Do not use the Acer Recovery disk, use a Startup Repair disk.

I'm just going to put this out there for you to consider; I would suggest a complete wipe of the Hard Disk Drive to remove Linux/Grub but that will over-write all data on the HDD for good.

After you have copied out or made back-ups of the data you need to save to external media; if you can find an exact Windows version that the PC shipped with you can do a clean install using the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC though it may require a robo-call to MS to sort the OEM batch-key.

How to Activate Windows 7 by Phone

If you can't find an exact same version, you could use the info in this tutorial to create an "all versions" installer of any version Windows installer, to install using the same method I posted above.

After you have made backups of everything you care to save, the best method is to do a complete wipe (secure erase) of the entire Hard Disk Drive first, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including all the old drivers/programs, giving you the best possible space to install Windows to.

Since My Digital Life has pulled the downloads of the REpair CD for copyright reasons, it becomes necessary to make one for your version (32 or 64 bit) on another Win7 computer.

If you're unable to do this then you can instead use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to wipe the HD. Download and burn to CD, boot CD, click on your Win7 HD, from Disk tab select Wipe HD, one set of zeroes, Apply.

You can then run the REcovery Disks or find a WIn7 installer to clean reinstall Win7 with the Product Key on COA sticker. Reinstalling Windows 7

Hi Actually The first time i did not do it from the Repair disk..
Yesterday i gave it a try from the repair disk but after i type CLEAN ALL nothing seemed to happen and i waited for abouts 1 hour....I m doing it again today and after 20 minutes it is still the same thing....I will leave it to run for about 2 hours and we will see what happens
I read in some instructions about 20 minutes waiting after Clean ALL but i guess it is normal that this could take longer right?
Thanks again for any answer on this
Take care

As long as the cursor is flashing in the command window it's still working.
