Local admin, part of a college domain..can i dual boot?
I want to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my college laptop which has XP SP3 and is part of the school domain. I am a local admin on my PC, meaning i can install/uninstall programs. Also every time i start my PC i am required to log in with a user and password as otherwise i can not start it.
My HD is divided into two partitions (C and D). Windows XP is installed in C and i was thinking of installing Windows 7 on D. Will this cause any issues with my college domain? Once i tried to change the domain and i was not able to log in in my PC anymore. I would not like to reach to that problem again :)
I did this on my home computer where i have no restrictions and i was able to dual-boot beautifully!
Please let me know if this can be done, and if yes what are some issues that i should be aware of.
Thanks!
