Got XP and windows 7 working together, but XP is not working well

I got windows xp and windows 7 working together, but Windows XP is not working well. I have no sound in XP, no wireless internet, and the maximum resolution is 1024by768. I am using Windows XP Pro. I got it to work perfect in Virtualbox, but alas on the computer not really. And, even though my comp has 8gb of ram at 2.53 Ghz, XP only recognizes 2gb or ram at 1.1 ghz. It's a 32 bit XP, but still it should recognize 4 gb of ram at the full prcessing speed, shouldn't it? (Using intel core i5 460M @ 2.53 Ghz 2cores and 2 hyperthreading). Windows 7 still works great.
Also, whenever I want to start windows XP, I have to set in BIOS IDE or for windows 7 SATA, if I don't set it respectively for this systems I get a Blue Screen of Death. It's kinda annoying having to go into BIOS all the time. I have a TB of RAM, split into two 500gb hard drives. Windows 7 home premium is installed on C:, and windows XP is installed as a partion on my other hard drive E:, which I partioned 200 gb out of 500 for Windows XP. Anyway to fix all of these things lol I know they're a lot of issues, sorry about that.

Unfortunately, my OEM's drivers are only for windows 7. I have an Acer Aspire 7745G. Internet doesn't work, wether it be wireless or LAN. It's like the operating system doesn't detect anything on my computer.

I would say stay with Virtualbox, or XP mode.

To find the drivers you'll need to go to the device manfacturer's Support Downloads webpage instead of Acer to check for any XP display driver, chipset, sound, network, etc.

    Hi Greg
There is no Compatibility mode in XP for Vista or Windows 7 drivers.

Thanks, Ray. XP is fading fast here. Easy to revert to Win7 thinking.

XP on my computer is like Windows 95 on Virtualbox... same problem with windows 95 on virtualbox actually, no internet, sound, crappy display, slow, etc. Guess my beloved XP was not designed for my new comp... though I'll still see what I can do. Anyone know where to get internet drivers for LAN and wireless though? Connection troubleshooting did not detect a chpset or something. And anyone know how to increase the processing speed from 1.19 ghz to the 2.53 ghz that my comp can handle and utilizes in Windows 7?

What are your exact sound, wireless adapter, mobo and display adapter make/model? We can help you find the drivers as it is second nature to some of us here.

If the driver is missing in Device Manager, it may have to be traced to find the make/model: Hardware Identification

I used the hardware detection tool from the Acer website.
    Bluetooth: Atheros
    Camera: Liteon
    LAN: Atheros
VGA: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
    VGA 2: Intel HD
    Wireless LAN: Atheros
Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio (with dolby 5.1 surround sound)
Other Specs: Intel CORE i5 460M @2.53 GHZ, 8 gb of ram, 1TB hard drive, dual core with hyperthreading, windows 7 home premium SP1 (trying to get Windows XP Professional with SP3 to work)
I would just care to get internet, audio, and graphics working, don't care so much about bluetooth or camera, as I can use Windows 7 for that. Thanks in advance.
