    @Orbital Shark
Nope, I don't have one sadly.

I'm gonna get my friend's dvd-rw by tomorrow.

It seems that I cannot install either with the 2 dvd-rw that I have regadless of the image I've made

I'm about to lose all hope (

One more thing I need to know, as my harddisk is already cleaned (fresh, no partition, no nothing), is the culprit here the installation disk? I mean the windows file won't load and my harddisk is barely empty.

I need to know if either the harddisk or dvd-rom is the culprit.

Are you trying to install on the same machine that you created the DVDs on? In other words, are you using the same drive to read the DVD that you created it on?

    I've just had a thought...

Doesn't the Windows install copy some files to memory & some to HD?

If the HD is not formatted then wont this produce the same issue as Windows is trying to copy to a partition that doesn't exist?

Maybe you could clear that up for me Dwarf while we're here

Nope, I created/burned the copy with another machine. And tested the burned dvd's with my Main one(the one I'm having problems with).

    Basically:
Other machine(stable) - works well and burns the dvds

Main one(problematic) - The one that I'm installing the OS's

    Hi Jeff,

You can install to a blank drive. In fact, it is better not to pre-format the partition, and instead allow the installation routine to automatically format as required. This accounts for the slight delay that you might notice when copying files - it seems to be stuck at 0% for a short while and then it starts copying.

In that case, try what I suggested and use the SAME drive (if possible). Sometimes, although drives are supposed to create disks that can be read on any compatible drive, tolerance limitations creep in and these can mean that any disk created on a particular drive can only be read on that drive (or, at least, read correctly). Another factor can be disk brand. I find that Verbatim are the most reliable for me. What brand are you using?

Imation, this is the only ones I can find available as of now so I have to stick with these. I'll try that in a couple of minutes and see what happens with the same dvd-rom.

I don't want to think that my HDD died on me. I can still detect them off, but I can't start installing any OS regardless of build and type(XP,Vista,Win7).

You should be OK with them, as they are a reputable brand. Your theory about your HDD is a valid one - do you have an alternative drive that you can use temporarily in its place to check?

Yes, I do have an alternative HD. Tried several times also, same problem. It's 1TB so I only had one partition(50GB) for the OS allocation.

The one I'm currently using is 640GB and it's clean to the bone. No partitions, no nothing. Not even fomatted.
