I would start at the bottom up. Remove all but necessary cards like sound wireless cards etc. Try installing again after that. I was having the same problem installing 1685 I then removed all some extra cards on my PC and installed again and whalla it worked. I was then able to install my extra devices after the install completed.

Well I have the same problem because the setup keeps asking me for drivers. I feed him the ICH9R drivers (the right ones) but he keeps saying it can't go on without the drivers. No extra cards here and it still doesn't work:

    here are my specs:

    Intel E5200 2.5Ghz
    Board DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL
    Corsair XMS2 DHX PC2-6400 4GB Kit CL5
    HD Hitachi 320GB SATA 2
    ATI HD4830 512MB DDR3

Hi, sorry for the late reply matt & welcome both to the forums.

When you say you've followed the steps, do you mean from the following tutorial?

USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create

If not, then i highly recommend reading it as it explains exactly what to do & how to make it bootable.

    Hope this helps :)
