    Impossible to say for sure. The CPU may already be heat-damaged. I would not run it.

    Those temps on the CPU require checking the CPU's thermal pasting, which will break the bond requiring it to be repasted anyway. If you follow the video with the utmost care you may want to do it yourself, but if you have doubts about the steadyness of your hands and utmost patience required then ask for help from a friend or take it to a shop.

    I know this is old but I ended up here from yahoo... It is the power supply! Classic symptoms. intermittent shutdowns. Installing win 7 will need all the power you have. If new usb devices are using power then the ps is dying. (Damn it Jim im a dr)
