Just a report on how things went. ZERO problems. Didn't have to do anything so far. Was nervous after reading some posts. This was done on a server board, super micro X8DTI-F. Went from 2 E5640's to one X5670. Have restarted about a 6 times since the swap. Not sure if I'm lucky or it's lurking inside waiting to nail me down the road. Have done updates too so am thinking I'm good to go. Thanks for all the replies.

Spoke to soon I guess. I run dual boot with ubuntu. Today, I switched back to check updates. Little message pops up on lower right screen stating not valid copy. Had to revalidate, then download a validation tool for MSE. It validated though. Kind of figured it was lurking.
