Can not install official RC 7100

After getting the newsletter from Microsoft Technet offering to Download RC link , I downloaded it twice. At the end of download I got the error message " The downloaded file is corrupt and can not be used. If you try to......." Iam already using win 7260 which is working fine.
Do I need to download and install RC 7100........?

if you have 7260 installed why would you want to go back to 7100?

keep 7260, RC keys can be used to activate it as well.

Why would you bother with RC? Keep what you have or "upgrade" to the last build

Even MS in their conference in New Orleans did not use RC version

The only reason going to 7100 would be to use an official release from Microsoft. If that is what you plan on doing, then so be it. It is odd that its saying it is corrupted. I would check the hash values of the downloaded file.

Take a windows vista setup dvd make an ISO of it.
Open the ISO with ISO maker Delte files from ISO and replace with the files from the windows seven DVD and save the ISO then burn dvd.
may work with xp boot cd

I think the issue might also be burn speed

As (with Vista too) Windows 7 uses an install.wim file which is in excess of 2GB in size. A fast burn speed (contrary to other beliefs) can cause issues with Data Writing due to the large file size. I would advise (if you have the spare disks) to burn another DVD @ 4x or slower and see if that works.

If you don't have the disks you may want to check out Install Windows 7 FAST without a DVD or USB device
