You might have done well to mention that in the first place.

It looks like HP has XP drivers available:

HP Compaq 6720s Notebook PC*-* Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center

As others have mentioned, there might be an issue with SATA drivers. I don't expect any problem, as you have an Intel chipset, but it would be convenient if you had a floppy drive on hand (to install drivers) just in case. (I believe that an external USB floppy drive would work.)

Where exactly did you get XP ISO?

What program did you use to burn the XP ISO to CD? What speed?

@ Bobkinn .... Yeahh mann ... i guess thrz sumthin wrongg with SATA thingy ... soo how can i solve that issue?

@ Gregrocker .... i Downloaded from Genuine copy which i previously installed on my Desktop and its running very smoothly.
