And yes, this is my first time installing and buying an SSD to a PC. So after installing the disc, I have to Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk?

Can I do this on another Laptop, or do I need to plug my HDD back on to do this on my own?

How many times do I need to tell you that you do not need to buy Win7? I've probably told you ten times in a row now that you can Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 using the installer provided in the blue link? Do you have a reading problem? Do I need to repeat it again, or will you sit down now, click the blue link and read it?

If EFI boot disk was disabled in BIOS then there is no reason to convert the SSD to MBR to assure it's not trying to install to a GPT disk. And if it's a new SSD then there's no reason to wipe the HD before installing.

Just follow the steps in the tutorial to try a Clean Reinstall.

No you need to download the same version as on the sticker then use the Product Key on the sticker to activate. Also pay attention to which bit-version 32- or 64-bit. If you have 4gb RAM or less I would use 32 bit, or use whichever one it came with.

Awesome! That means I can download Window 7 Ultimate???? YAY! DD

I have 4gb of rams, but when I look under my properties, it saids 64 bits on my current one with hdd. I'm planning to upgrade to 8 gb with crucial ram on my SSD, do you recommend Window 7 ultimate 64 gb sir?

If it says Ultimate on the COA sticker on the PC then you can use it, but it most likely says Home Premium so you must use that version that came with the PC.

What would make you think from what I said that you could use Ultimate?

OMG I'm such an idiot. I read it wrong. I'm sorry. I'll update after downloading the 64 bit home premium.

I can tell by what I'm seeing here that unless you stick closely to the steps and tools to obtain and then maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 you will again mess up your system with jerky, random, destructive impulses.

Only if you completely refrain from doing anything except what it shows in the tutorial, complete and maintain going forward every single step with nothing else added, no tweaks, no stray programs sneaking in on downloads for other programs. You must be as vigilant as a cop when you have the impulses you do, guarding against your own worst instincts.

Sorry if I'm too blunt and I will gladly help you along the way, but it's just something we see here fairly regularly here and I'd like to help you avoid it.
