    linux?

Hi everyone im having a problem with my dads laptop.
Im going over my friends house but i want to take my dads laptop with me so me and my friwnd can go on multiplayer. But my dads laptop is locked by his work so it cant go on the internet. But i found a way around this..... Linux on a USB!!!!

Well it worked on my desktop pc but every time i select boot from usb it loads up gives me the options to install or run from usb so i click run from usb but all i get is black screen but i still hear the startup jingle?

Can someone please tell me how to make the screen work on the laptop!!!! Before 12.00pm

its UBUNTU LINUX 9.10 DESKTOP EDITION and the laptop is a LENOVO B560 WINDOWS 7

I need someone to reply before 11.00am if possible

Have a word with your dad's company’s IT administrator.
