You're welcome and after you burn another disk, this is still your best option.

As the HDD is fairly new and the Windows 7 install is fairly new also, perhaps if you clean the HDD using the clean and not the clean all command and then create a 100GB partition to do the clean install to it may help.

Have a look at this to boot to diskaprt.
DISKPART : At PC Startup

Then use Step One of this one to run the clean and not the clean all as listed, the clean only over-writes the format configuration data and only takes seconds and the clean all over-writes the entire HDD and takes hours, and should not be necessary on a 'new' HDD.

Then use Step Two, either #2 or #3 to create and mark "Active" the partition(s) and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Unfortunately a newly burned (and verified) DVD at 1x yielded the same result: black screen after Windows logo.
So, what's up next?

Then put that ISO on a USB stick and boot from that to see if that makes a difference.

You may have a bad ISO.

This is a distinct possibility, where did the ISO come from, have you used it to install Windows 7 successfully before?

I made a bootable USB and tried it on the new pc and it didn't work, but there was something different: there was no cursor on the black screen (as for what this means I have no clue :P).
As for the ISO itself, I believe it isn't at fault, since I also tried it in my old computer and it arrived at the language selection screen as it should.

That would still make it bad ISO.

Very well, I'll redownload the ISO first thing in the morning and see if it works.
Until then, good night!

Progress at last! With the new ISO I managed to get past the black screen, but now I face another problem: the diskpart command doesn't work properly. What I mean is, I type diskpart (and press enter) and then 3 lines show up:
Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7601
Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation.
On computer: MINWINPC

Then I believe this would appear: 'DISKPART>' allowing you to continue, but here it just stays the same.
It's also worth noting that the first time I attemped the installation, diskpart did work.
Edit: Nevermind, it just needed time to load, I'm gonna keep going and keep you posted.
