Windows 7: Upgrading to 7600 from 7232?

Upgrading to 7600 from 7232?

How do I do this? I know it's impossible to simply click "Upgrade".

You would be correct...even though I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST upgrading from that build to this one...I wont be stingy with knowledge...

Open up the root of the ISO->Sources->Edit cversion.ini->Change the MinClient number to something else (7232 would do)

...or you could upgrade from a seperate drive/partition - that'll work too...

How do I open the root + edit it + save it? Do I use WinRAR?

extract the iso (open the DVD and copy the files)...go to the sources folder on the DVD/cversion.ini and change what I posted. Make it an ISO again with power iso..

The MiniClient number won't change, no matter how many times I edit it and save it. It always turns back into the default.

You will need to 'Take Ownership' of the file first before you can edit it.

Why re-iso it? can't you just install form the drive at the point you finish the edit?

7600 (RTM) won't connect to 7232 via Network
So when I try to connect to my friend's shared folders, it won't let me like it did in other builds. I am now running 7600x64 and it's giving me some problems. Screenshots are attached. Also, I can SEE the homegroup, but when i type in the CORRECT password it says it is wrong. I am running on...

Upgrading from 7232 64bit to 7264 64bit problems.
Guys, I'm have some difficulties in upgrading. I keep on getting the following message, I tried running the setup in compatibility mode, but same thing. I also tried changing the cversion.ini file. Same. Hope someone can give me some advise. Thanks!!

i donwloaded the iso from solor and tried to upgrade from my 7229, it went fine but now it hangs at "installing devices and setting up your system" which cannot by stopted, what do i have to do? - i used a usb stick to install it
